Ecologizing Society: Introduction

I want to spend some time working through some thoughts I have about how society might organize itself toward better nature-society relationships than we currently have. My goal here is not to create some new philosophy, or political ideology, or even any new practical applications. Instead, I want to pull from a variety of existing ideas, finding areas of overlap among them, and areas of contrast, and combining them to produce some potential visions for what such a society could look like. This isn't meant to be a how-to, per se, or a set of instructions, but I do want to emphasize that we already possess the information, technology, and philosophy to form the foundation of an ecological society. It's that set of knowledge that I want to aggregate into something cohesive.

The plan is to publish this in a series of essays, which I'm calling Ecologizing Society.
